Features of two worlds combined
Seamless integration of BSI CRM/BSI CTMS with Word and Outlook for the simple planning, creation and archiving of customer correspondence and meetings:
- BSI CRM/BSI CTMS Ribbons in Word and Outlook: create and edit documents, e-mails and letters and save in BSI CRM/BSI CTMS.
- Outlook Sidebar: show BSI CRM specific information and link e-mails or appointments and meetings with BSI CRM.
BSI Office Add-In is part of BSI CRM/BSI CTMS and subject to its license.
The bsi_office_addin.exe installs Add-ins for Word and Outlook and replaces if necessary old existing versions. To execute the setup you need local administration rights (UAC). Typically the Add-In is pre-installed by the administrator on the whole site. The current version 1.1.21.0 can be downloaded:
Microsoft recommends using Office 32 bit in combination with most Add-Ins, except for very special and rare situations which require the 64bit Office version. Further reading: stackoverflow and Microsoft.
When analyzing issues and defects the BsiOfficeAddinCheck.exe tool can come in handy. It reads the relevant parts out of the registry and dumps it to the console. The current version can be downloaded: BsiOfficeAddinCheck.exe
Administrative builds used for redistributing and repackaging can use these individual components. Please note that these redistributions must make sure that prerequisities are correctly installed or present and no double-setup are performed.
